Visitor Access to Library Databases

Answer

Local residents and other guests may use our library databases on campus using one of the guest computers on the main floor of Leyburn Library. There are two computers near the information desk and one near the student yearbooks and popular reading books.

Below are the steps to access a database:

  • Search for the database name (e.g. JSTOR). You can either use the search box or start with the first letter of the database. If the database requires a username and password that info is listed on a small sign above the guest computers.

  • Once you locate your desired database you can search for the article or other material that you need.
  • You can save the articles/book chapters etc. to the computer's desktop and email them to yourself (in your email program of choice) or you can print them. We do not charge for printing. Ask for the print-outs at the Information Desk.
