Getting a library card:

People from the following schools and localities may register for a library card:

  • Mountain Gateway Community College;
  • Virginia Military Institute;
  • Southern Virginia University;
  • Mary Baldwin University;
  • Lexington, Buena Vista, and Rockbridge middle and high school students;
  • Lexington, Buena Vista, and Rockbridge County area residents;
  • Students, faculty, and staff at any VIVA institutions.

To register:

  • Visit Leyburn Library's Main Floor Information Desk and ask to register for a library card.
  • After registration, library users can immediately check out physical library materials.

Loan Periods:

Our book loan period is four weeks. Here is more information about borrowing materials from the University Library.
