Materials within Special Collections include the University Archives; Manuscript Collections; the collections of community organizations including the Rockbridge Historical Society, Brownsburg Museum, and American Shakespeare Center; rare books; university, faculty/staff, and alumni publications; Newspapers; Prints and Photographs; and so much more! Given the types of materials housed within Special Collections, they are only available for use within the Special Collections Reading Room, for more information about policies and procedures please visit https://library.wlu.edu/special-collections-archives.html. Special Collections & Archives is located on Leyburn Library's Lower Level 1. It is open Monday through Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. While no appointment is necessary, we recommend emailing specialcollections@wlu.edu when planning a visit. If you have found something you are interested in within our collections please include as much information as possible including but not limited to the link, collection information, series information, box number, and folder/item information.
